Allow me to reintroduce myself.. If you’re new here hi! 👋🏼 I’m Erika- the face behind Ourblissfulnest. I started this account back in 2020 when my husband and I first moved in together. Little did I know I would be discovering my passion through this! Since then we decided to sell our first home in search of our dream home. While I do miss working on projects, we’ve been enjoying the slower pace of renting in the meantime. I’m taking it upon myself to show you that’s it’s still possible to create a space you love (renting or not) through home decor and renter-friendly projects! Well what it journey it was. If you missed it in stories, our house will officially be sold tomorrow 🎉 Never in a million years did I think that this house would turn me into a DIY girly when first moving in- let alone have so many of you to share this journey with 🤯 Even though we’ll be apartment living for a while, I’m confident that I can spruce up this space to make it feel like home. I’m sure most of you have heard the exciting news that @loloirugs launched a spring collaboration with @magnolia this week! There were some shipping delays with my order so you can imagine how anxious I was to open up and style this beauty as soon as I got it! I wanted a lighter rug with spring right around the corner and the MIE-01 Silver / Dove rug from the Millie Collection is exactly what I was envisioning for this little refresh! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- It’s all in the details! I didn’t think much into this when I posted the guest bathroom reel but so many of you have reached out since then asking how I got the hand towel to look like this. I’m not to good at explaining things so hopefully this video and these little steps are somewhat helpful ⬇️ - Loosely hold your towel in half - Create a loop on one end of the towel - Pull the end through tightly, but do not pull it through all the way - Fluff, fluff, fluff until you are happy with how it looks! Something important to keep in mind is that this will not work with your standard hand towel (trust me, I tried- they’re too bulky) I found that this technique works best with Turkish cotton towels, which are much thinner yet still very absorbent. My current favorite ones are from @sweetwaterdecor 🥰 I’ve linked this towel and other variations in stories and in my bio link.
